Here is a purse that had both hinges severed from the frame, and the four side arms of the frame were bent inward. There was mesh detachment around the hinge areas and some of the spiral wire had pulled away from the frame. Many of the rings that held the bottom seam together were also absent. To restore the purse to its original beauty and function: the frame was first straightened realigning the side arms, then the severed hinges were laser welded back together. The mesh was then closed up and the loose ends of the spiral wire rethreaded to attach the mesh back to the frame. Jump rings were installed to close up the gaps in the bottom seam. A new pink silk lining was installed.
